Electoral Participation and Politics: New Perspectives on the 2018 Elections in Costa Rica
This research project, conducted as a collaboration with the Institute for the Promotion of Democracy - IFED, explored electoral participation in Costa Rica’s 2018 elections, focusing on voter turnout, campaign influences, and the growing impact of social media.
The comprehensive study analyzed the behavior of the electorate, with a specific lens on factors driving voter engagement and abstention. By co-authoring a chapter of the publication, the project provided detailed findings on how political messaging and digital platforms shaped the electoral landscape.
This work contributed valuable insights for future campaigns and policy frameworks, advocating for more inclusive, responsive political strategies.
